Light refractory insulating brick

Light insulating bricks are made from high purity kaolinite refractory clay in accordance with JM/ASTM standards and, in applications for higher temperatures, together with alumina. Light insulating bricks are used as a thermal insulation layer and in supporting and main layers in high temperature industrial furnaces and provide good physical, mechanical and thermal performance.

Basically, light insulating bricks have The real porosity is more than 45% and the application temperature is more than 800 degrees Celsius. According to ASTM C 155-70 or DIN EN 1094 standards, the temperature at which the shrinkage of the material does not exceed 2% after 24 hours is introduced as the application temperature of bricks.
In terms of chemical structure, Light insulating bricks can be classified into four main groups, which are: 1- Silicate light bricks 2- Aluminosilicate light bricks 3- Bricks Zirconia style
4- Corundum style bricks

Features of light insulation brick

Excellent stability at ambient temperature and high temperature
  • Excellent insulating property in the working temperature range
  • Less thermal storage than denser bricks
  • The amount of iron and Other very low impurities in the analysis of insulating bricks
  • Low thermal shrinkage

Advantages of using insulating refractory bricks?

Insulating materials In cases where they can be used, the process offers several advantages, including the following:

  • Saving fuel costs by reducing heat loss through walling the furnace
  • speed in increasing the temperature of the wall b The reason for insulation and lower heat capacity of insulating refractories
  • Building a wall with less thickness for the furnace to achieve an optimal temperature distribution
  • Lower weight of the furnace due to the lower weight of insulating refractories

light thermal insulation refractory bricks can be used in various industries.Cement and glass industries
Thermal power plants
